I'm a lousy April Fools Day mom, at least that's how I feel after reading about Design Mom's day and how clever her kids are. Seriously. They are hilarious.
All I did was this simple dinner, but we had fun with it. Mollie also hid a plastic bug for Kelvin to find. She didn't really get it, but it was fun anyway.
What did you do for this silly holiday?
I never remember until the day of and I can never think of something clever. The cupcake idea is way cute. They really looked like cupcakes. One of Lauren's friends brought over a "pizza" It was in a real Domino's box and inside it was a round one layer cake, red frosting and thick fruit roll-up like things for the pepperoni. It was cute and nice. Maybe next year I can do something fun like that.
ReplyDeleteSame. I never remember in enough time to actually plan something. My friends do really fun and creative, clever things...Addie's teacher at school was hilarious. He told the kids around lunch that there was a new school policy that if kids had any absenses or too many tardys they would have to attend summer school. He faked the dates and everything. Addie said kids started crying and asking to go call their moms! Shortly after (it was an early day) just before leaving he wrote on his laptop (which projects all day on one wall) "Happy April Fools!" Sounds totally mean...but so funny too!
